Presentation

Sol Madridejos, has been Professor of "Projects" in the Architecture University of the Universidad Europea CEES of Madrid and in the Universily C.E.U. Arquitectura of Madrid.

Their professional activity has been developed from a framework of interest -many times on the sidelines of the prevoíling cultural Rows- coming from both, the plastic arts: painting, sculpture, the visual arts: photogrophy, video, comic, as much as from the realm of thinking and theory. All of this has leaded them through a working process 1 in the way of a laboratory/ o long the last 20 years. Sustained by a wide map  ideas/themes/projects (os are folds, the tone of space or the void) on which they locus their interests involving space and its perception. This map -that they call The Train of Thought- describes the drifts and connections between their themes-architectural projects and finally materializes in their works, where all their research culminates.

Their work has been published in the most prestigious international architecture publications, and has been exhibited, among others, at VIl, VIII and XI Biennale di Architettura di Venezia, Biennial Exhibition of Architecture of Qingpu, Bienal de Arquitectura de Buenos Aires, Museum of Modern Art MoMA in New York, Notionol Building Museum in Washington, Natianal Museum of Shanghai, Palais the Tokio in Paris, and al different Architecture Exhibitions in London, Poris, Shanghai, Bogota, Tokio, Verona and Madrid. Their works have been distinguised with the Anthological Prize of Contemporary Architecture of Castillo La Mancha, the Prize of the Medal of Merit in Fine Arts and many of their works have been nominoted lar several editions of the Mies Van der Rohe Prize.
