Ricardo Flores is architect for the School of Architecture of the University of Buenos Aires in 1992, Master in Urban Design for the School of Architecture of Barcelona in 1996, and PhD for the School of Architecture of Barcelona in 2016, with the qualification Excellent Cum Laude.

After a long collaboration at Enric Miralles' office, establishes Flores & Prats Architects together with Eva Prats in Barcelona in 1998. The work of this office have been part of the Wallpaper Directory of Emerging Offices in 2007, selected for the Prize for Contemporary Architecture-Mies van der Rohe Award in 2005 and 2015, finalists at the Bienal de Arquitectura Iberoamericana 2004 and the Bienal de Arquitectura Española 2011, and finalists of the FAD Awards 2006 and 2011. In 2009 obtains the Grand Award for the Best Work in Architecture at the Summer Show of the Royal Academy of Arts in London, and in 2011 the International Award Dedalo-Minosse in Vicenza.

Besides his professional practice, Ricardo is actively involved in the academic world. Since 2007 he is Professor of 5th Year Design Studio and Final Thesis Studio at the School of Architecture of Barcelona. Together with Eva Prats he has also directed Final Thesis Studio at the School of Architecture UIC in Barcelona (2009 - 2012), and professor at the Laboratory of Housing at ETSAB-UPC (2005 - 2012). He has been Visiting Professor and Lecturer at universities in Spain, Argentina, Italy, Denmark, Belgium, México, Ecuador, Norway, USA, Great Britain and Australia.
