She developed her career in the communication field, working in different multinationals and companies as a project manager of brands like: Telefónica, Movistar, HP, Ermenegildo Zegna, Bulgari, Burberry, Canon, Circo del Sol, Endesa, …, among others.

She has been Director of Communication of IED during 10 years.

Now she is the Head of Institutional Relations and Special Projects of IED Madrid and coordinates EYE IED, International Trends IED Unit, working with Arcelor Mittal, Gaston y Daniela, Fit 2 Com European Union project.

She is also a Trend Analyst, who has given lectures in different countries and institutions, like Cámara de Comercio de Lima, Cámara de Comercio de Bogotá, Universidad del Caribe en Colombia, Centros de Innovación Textil de Perú, Universidad del Pacífico Santiago de Chile, INCACAP Chile, Bienal de Diseño de Madrid, La Casa Encendida, VITRA, Roca Gallery, Centro Conde Duque, Ayuntamiento de Madrid, TED X Taipei and she writes about trends, design, architecture, talents and travels (print and online), for the newspaper El País, Condé Nast Traveler, Condé Nast AD Spain, Ottagono Design & Architecture Magazine. 

Marisa Santamaría is member of the jury of Architectural Digest Spain Award, design and architecture. Member of Círculo Orellana, women network of Spanish leaders.
