Neurology, being an ever-progressive science, demands for an environment that anticipates constant change and encourages possibilities without impairing the hospital's inherently complex technicalities. The acquisition of building must be therefore aimed to be integrally self-sufficient, integrated, and prepared for dynamics of place.

This is the promise of the Systems Separation (SYS) for hospital design, which involves respecting the hierarchy and lifespans of building components by using the modular model for Open Building by Stephen Kendall (2019). Hoping for greater leaps towards intelligent design solutions, this project realizes the individual agency of healthcare infrastructure built to last.
