It is chosen as solution a forceful piece which, placed on a highpoint, reminds to a watchtower, where the rooms as well as a restaurant at the top are held, offering a wild vision of the environment . This "military " analogy is not a vagary, it arises from the need of protection, since the park animals supose a danger to visitors and with the deliverate choice of a highpoint as the project plot what allows dominating a large area of “Kruger park” , providing the view and study of the “Big Five” in Africa and the rest of the South African fauna.
Suporting the project’s radicalism , and keeping on with the idea of " fortress " the rest of the program is buried; a ramp leads the visitor to the entrance. Level -1 is intended for research , where an exhibition hall and museum are also available as well as an entrance hall. -2 Floor contains a small documentation classroom, a shop for visitors , the management office and a work rooms for experts.
The material chosen for the facade is an autochthonuos stone mampuesta to reinforce the natural idea to mix with the inviroment and protecttion. This stone also rhymes with the ridge on which it is located
