The desert is a hard landscape where water is sometimes only visible through tenuous vegetable traces, that appear miraculously in the arid soil. The proposal takes this situation and locates in one of the sides a creek. This creek is located at the start of the Andean foothills over 2520m, giving a privileged position for views over the geography and volcanoes. A solid rectangular volume is proposed, reminder of the way ancient cultures related to the sky, the rite and the astronomy, shaping a large observation platform with telescopes. This volume is oriented to the south to get indirect light and avoid direct radiation, and uses thermal mass to compensate the thermal oscillation in the the interior. Inside, the platform-volume homes a flexible space with 3 distinguishable areas in two levels, and complementary programs oriented to the landscape through a large veranda.
