The project Permeable Barriers is a criticism about the massive presence of high walls in the urban space of São Paulo city, which creates a segregated and increasingly insecure environment.
The main purpose of the project is to design a hybrid building connected with the public space as a better answer to the security of the city than the walls. Its mixed use encourages people to visit the place at different periods of the day, benefiting the region culturally and economically.
