The Concept
The floating-folded “triangle” finds itself in the center of the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir as a new characteristic landmark that energizes the lake and invites the user and the passerby of the central park to experience the tranquility of the water element.
The three basic ingredients that constitute the design concept:
• The innovative possibility for the observation of the city skyline from the level and the standpoint of the lake
• The initial triangular form that shapes itself from the three diametrically opposed cavities (as showed in the explanatory diagrams)
• The delight and capacity of a route through the lake that offers a very different environmental and leisure experience

The Function
The movement of the three platforms is achieved by towing by motor boats. The platforms begin their route from the banks of their respective cavities, from where the people embark. the destination of each one of the platforms is variable and related to the daily route schedule.
The choice of the wooden skin and the wooden core body for the structures is based on our belief that the Intervention should have a visually friendly assimilation to the environment of the park.

The idea
However it is the connection of the three “boats” at the center of the lake that transforms the whole “triangle” to an interesting summer meeting pavilion. This connection would happen once in a week and The maximum capacity for this particular city-event is up to 1500 people, from visitors to city dwellers.
