Joxe Mari Aizega is Head of Basque Culinary Center, which includes the School of Gastronomic Science and I+D Center for Food and Gastronomy. Basque Culinary Center is the first Gastronomic School in Spain with an Official Degree in Gastronomy and Culinary Arts. Joxe Mari Aizega is founder and pioneer of this center which has been created with the support of public institutions, chefs more relevant around the world, private companies and Mondragon Unibertsitatea.

Joxe Mari Aizega is graduated in Business and Law from the UPV/EHU and Doctor of Law from the UPV/EHU. He has worked as a professor at the Faculty of Law from the UPV/EHU and Faculty of Business at Mondragon Unibertsitatea. He has been Head of the Legal Department of the Mondragon Corporation and Vice-Chancellor of Mondragon Unibertsitatea.
